Harford PTAs Legislative Forum Set for October 15 At Bel Air High

The Harford County Council of PTAs is gathering elected officials and leaders in education to meet with the public at a legislative forum planned for Thursday, October 15th at 7 p.m. in the Bel Air High School cafeteria.



Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from decision-makers about issues in education and to speak with them one-on-one or in small, informal discussion groups. Find out what’s happening in Harford County Public Schools and share your ideas and concerns with the people who represent you. It is not necessary to be a PTA member; all members of the community are welcome to attend. Invited guests include all appointed and elected officials, including local, state and national representatives.





According to HCCPTA President Cathi Peters, the following individuals have confirmed their attendance as of October 6:

Board of Education President Mark Wolkow

County Councilman Dion Guthrie (District A – Edgewood/Joppa)

County Councilman Joseph Woods (District B – Fallston)

The Harford County Council of PTAs presents our Annual Legislative Forum

Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.



Bel Air High School Cafeteria



The Harford County Council of PTA, Inc. continues our commitment to advocacy and information sharing.



The Annual Legislative Forum will include an opening presentation leading into small group discussions on educational issues.



Invited guests include representatives from :

Harford County Superintendent of Schools, County Executive’s Office, Harford County Board of Education, Harford County Council, Harford County Sheriff, Maryland PTA, Governor’s Office, Harford County Delegation, Senators and Representatives representing our community in Washington.



This Forum is designed to bring together parents, educators, and elected officials in an atmosphere of open and respectful exchange of information. Please join us on Thursday, October 15, 2009 and bring other members of your community. You will have the opportunity to speak with Educators, Administrators, and elected officials one-on-one about education issues.
